A police spokeswoman said officers attended at 10.45pm after it was reported that a group of people were fighting.

She added: “At this time, enquiries are ongoing to identify those involved and officers have been speaking to the victims to try and obtain further information.”

One resident said: “It’s been really surprising because it’s so quiet up that street. It’s a dead end.

“There were a lot of police attended on the night, with dogs and riot vans. It was chaos.”

Anyone with information is asked to call 101 quoting incident 1203 of March 23.
