Teenager seriously injured in Maltby crash

A MAN was arrested after a teenager was seriously injured when his car crashed into a traffic light in Maltby.

A grey Vauxhall Astra and a white Volkswagen Golf were both travelling along High Street towards Tickhill at around 12.15am today (Tuesday) when the Astra was in collision with a traffic light at the junction with Grange Lane.

The driver of the Golf, a 21-year-old man from Stainton, was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury while driving dangerously after the Astra driver — an 18-year-old form Maltby — suffered a serious arm injury.

He has since been released under investigation pending further enquiries.
