Police said a blue Yamaha YBR125 motorcycle ridden by the teenager, from Retford, was travelling along Rotherham Road towards Outgang Lane, behind a red Transit-style van.

It is believed the red van indicated to turn left onto Kieran Close, at which point it is believed that the Citroen pulled out onto Rotherham Road.

The Yamaha reportedly began to overtake the van, when it came into collision with the Citroen. The Citroen driver was not injured.
