Teenage boy seriously injured - witness sought

A TEENAGE boy is “seriously injured” in hospital after a traffic collision which caused a bleed in his brain.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the incident, which occurred at 11.15am on Sunday, July 7.

The 13-year-old boy is thought to have run out into Station Street, Swinton in front of a blue Peugeot 306.

The car, driven by a 57-year-old man, was approaching the junction with Crossland Street when it collided with him.

Anyone who witnessed the incident is asked to contact the police on non-emergency number 101 and quite incident number 492 of July 7.
