Suspected arson attack on derelict house in Holmes

A DERELICT terraced house is believed to have been set on fire deliberately in Holmes.

Two fire crews were called to the property on Cavendish Road last night (Thursday) at 9.57pm to tackle the blaze and spent half an hour at the scene.

A South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue spokeswoman said a small amount of rubbish had been deliberately ignited in an upstairs bedroom.
