Stars back SAFE@LAST charity shop

SIENNA Miller, Fearne Cotton and Jamie Oliver are among the celebrities who have donated items for SAFE@LAST’s one-off charity shop.

After two successful stints on Laughton Road in Dinnington the children’s charity has stepped up a gear and next month temporary store Charity Chicks will take a spot in Meadowhall.

The outlet next to WHSmiths will open on October 12 for six days and will offer celebrity donations and designer vintage items at charity shop prices.

Katie Eastburn, runaways education officer, said: “The calibre of celebrities who have already contributed to the event is amazing.

“Sienna Miller has sent us some Roberto Cavalli sunglasses and Fern Britton has given us the Herve Leger dress she wore during her last ever This Morning appearance.

“The items will be available on a first come first served basis, with others being auctioned throughout the week.”

SAFE@LAST works with young people aged 16 and under who are at risk of running away.  The Charity Chicks store will be staffed by a team of volunteers, with every penny spent going directly to the charity.

And the team is on the hunt for anyone willing to donate good quality clothing or accessories.

Katie added: “We are in desperate need of clothes, shoes, jewellery and accessories for men, women and children.

“If you can donate a piece of clothing or handbag, then please let us know.

“Why not organise a donation box at work and we can arrange a collection.”
