It will involve a choice of guided walk to a hide to watch the wildfowl come in to roost and the possibility of spotting barn owls or bitterns.

Following the walks, members of Swinton Astronomical Society will be on hand to show the wonders of the night sky through their powerful telescopes and there will be a presentation of film footage of the stars and a demonstration of a planetarium.

Refreshments will be available.

The cost is £6 for adults (concessions available) and booking is essential on 01226 751593.
