Staff attacked in attempted booze raid

TWO staff needed hospital treatment after being sprayed in the face with an unknown substance during a shop robbery.

The men, aged 50 and 59, were working at the Booze Barn on Swinton Road in Mexborough when they were attacked.

The two male suspects stole personal property from both employees but were unable to steal anything from the shop.

Police have released CCTV imaged to help trace the suspects after the 9.30pm incident on Thursday, February 3.
