St John Ambulance seeks Rotherham volunteers

A VOLUNTEER medical service is appealing for new adult recruits to come and make the difference between lives lost and lives saved.

St John Ambulance volunteers help at sports events, concerts, festivals and community events, after receiving six to nine months of training.

Asked to give at least 60 hours of volunteering each year, they also meet one evening each week.

The charity is hoping to recruit across Yorkshire — including Rotherham.

Local selection and training will take place at the charity’s Rotherham branch on Downs Row in Moorgate.

Successful applicants will need to pass an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
