Liz Hopkinson, service support manager for the Doncaster and Rotherham Alzheimer’s Society said: “It brings people together in a friendly and stimulating environment.

“It is an enjoyable activity and provides a way for people with dementia, along with their carers, to express themselves and socialise with others in a fun and supportive group.”

The Alzheimer’s Society is looking for volunteers to make it a success.

They said volunteering was an exciting new opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge of dementia, to meet new people and to make a positive contribution to the life of someone with dementia, their carer and family.
