One of his victims was a 15-year-old girl from Rotherham, who Pykett contacted on the Internet and met three times.

He was arrested after he was seen kissing the girl in the town’s Riverside pub.

Pykett tied one victim up with cable ties to abuse her in the back of a van, took indecent images of some victims and send one a message reading: “Daddy wants his sexy little daughter tied to his bed”.

Judge Andrew Lockhart QC told him: “No sentence of this court can ever begin to reflect the misery your selfish conduct has led to.”

Investigating officer Det Sgt Collette O’Keefe praised his victims, all aged between 13 and 16, for coming forward.

Warwick Crown Court heard Pykett, of Leamington Spa, had met the 15-year-old girl from Rotherham through Instagram and chatted to her online chat before arranging to meet.

He drove to Rotherham, and on their first meeting they took his chocolate Labrador Lola for a walk before going to a hotel bar where they chatted and he then took her home.

On their second meeting, he stopped the car as he was taking her home, kissed her and touched her “princess parts” over her clothing, prosecutor Mr Michael Williams said.

The third time, after kissing and cuddling, he took her to the Riverside pub in Rotherham, where the assistant manager became concerned at seeing him kissing her and holding her leg.

The police were contacted by staff, and a customer gave the NSPCC the paedophile’s car registration number.

On Pykett’s computer, there were three indecent videos of him performing sex acts on a 14-year-old girl from Essex in the back of his car.

Police traced the girl and she told them Pykett had met her in a station car park and had sex on three occasions, including one when he turned up with outfits for her to wear and had tied her up.

Detectives identified several victims, with officers finding sexualised conversations, indecent images and graphic sexual abuse of children from all parts of the UK and further afield, including South Yorkshire, Essex, London, Wiltshire, South Wales, Nottingham, Birmingham, Liverpool, Newcastle, Chesterfield and Cleveland, Tennessee, in the USA.

The court heard he had been preying on under-age girls since as early as September 2007, although the majority of the offences took place between 2011 and towards the end of 2015.

Pykett admitted 20 counts of sexual activity with a child, including 16 involving penetration, seven of meeting a child following sexual grooming, two of attempting to meet a child following sexual grooming, one of trafficking within the UK for sexual exploitation and seven of making an indecent photograph of a child.

He also admitted one count of making an indecent image of a child and two of possessing illegal drugs.

Pykett was given a Sexual Harm Prevention Order and ordered to sign the sex offender’s register for life.

Following his prison term, he will be subject to licence for seven years.
