Seven arrested after Class A drug raids

SEVEN men have been charged with conspiracy to supply crack cocaine and heroin after a police operation recovered more than £10,000 worth of drugs.

Robert Cox (45) and John Brittle (35), both of Fitzwilliam Road, Eastwood; Peter Morland (41), of Lillian Street, Rotherham; Lee Edwards (37), of St Leonard's Place, Eastwood; Bradley Campbell (19) of St Mary's View, Rotherham; and Kyle Mehmet (32), of Shortbrook Drive, Westfield, Sheffield; have all been charged with conspiracy to supply class A drugs and will appear at Sheffield Magistrates' Court on January 11.

Adbul Shakuur (27), of Bethel Road, Eastwood, has admitted supplying heroin and crack cocaine and offering to supply the drugs, he will be sentenced on December 13.

The men were arrested during dawn raids on between last Wednesday and Friday.

Crack cocaine and heroin with a street value of £10,000, cannabis worth £600 and £2,000 in cash were recovered during the operation.
