Search for missing Aston pensioner enters third day

CONCERN for the welfare of a missing pensioner continues to grow as the search for him enters its third day.

Barry Jones (77) was last seen near his home in Aston at around 10.20am on Tuesday.

Mr Jones is described as white, around 5ft 8ins tall, with a slim build.

He has a shaven head and was last seen wearing blue jeans, a thermal vest and a green coat with leather collar.

Police made door-to-door enquiries on The Chase estate in Aston on Tuesday and a heavy police presence remained throughout the evening and into Wednesday.

Anyone with any information should call police on 101, quoting incident number 628 of February 28.
