Seamus gets Irish coaching job

FORMER Miller Jim McDonagh has landed the plum job of goalkeeping coach with the Republic of Ireland — one of the first moves made by new boss Martin O’Neill as he looks to steer the side back to former glories.

McDonagh, now 61, is a trusted ally of O’Neill’s and the pair have worked together at Leicester City, Aston Villa and Sunderland in the past.

Nicknamed Seamus, he replaces ex-Blade Alan Kelly in the role.
