SAFE@LAST'S Hilary in line for top award

ROTHERHAM charity founder Hilary Massarella is in line for an Inspiration Award for her work to help young runaways.

The founder trustee of SAFE@LAST has been nominated in the ‘most inspirational’ category of the awards for being “'an individual who has conducted themselves in such a manner that has inspired others and has had a creative influence on others.”

The Inspiration Awards for Women is an annual celebration of women from diverse backgrounds who have inspired individuals.

Hilary lines up along-side celebrity nominations including JK Rowling and Emma Thompson.

She said: “It is really wonderful to think that what we do here at SAFE@LAST is inspiring to others and very exciting to have the opportunity to attend such a fabulous event in recognition of inspiring women everywhere.”

SAFE@LAST works with young people at risk through running away in South Yorkshire.

Services include a helpline and the team provides the only refuge for children and young people in England.  

TV presenter Andrew Castle will host the event on October 6 at Cadogan Hall, London.

Winners are voted for by the public at www.inspirationawards.com/voting. Voting closes on September 22.
