Rotherham's buses in danger from cuts says Unite

ROTHERHAM’S buses will be in the firing lane as Government cuts begin to bite, a uinion claims.

Unite says that cuts to the Bus Servioce Operators’ Grant due in 2012 will mean unprofitable routes being slashed, fare increases and job losses.

And officials say cuts in local authority spending will mean even more restrictions for bus companies, a third of whose income comes from public subsidies.
