Rotherham Show "not cancelled"
ROTHERHAM Show has not been cancelled, Rotherham Borough Council said today.
Rumours spread through the town this week following the emergence of the child sexual exploitation scandal that the show could be axed amid fears it could be targeted by extremist groups.
But a council spokeswoman said: "While it is under review, I can confirm that the show will go ahead as planned."
The Advertiser understands that the Rotherham Labour Party has scrapped its regular Rotherham Show stall.
It follows the news that four councillors have been suspended by the party
