Rotherham mercy team flies out to aid Pakistan flood victims

A STAGGERING £78,000 has been raised by aid workers who flew out this week to help victims of the Pakistan floods.

Volunteers from the Rotherham-based WorldAid  charity have managed to raise £78,171.03p so far for their Pakistan Flood Appeal, with donations still coming in.

A team of six, headed by Miss Masarat Din and made up of Dr R. Khan, Dr Ammad Hussain, Mr Yasin Shah, Mr Javed Malik and Mr Mohammed Yakub, left last Sunday for Pakistan where they will be working at grassroots level.
