Rotherham Mayor resigns
ROTHERHAM has a new temporary first citizen after the Mayor resigned after just three weeks.
Rotherham Borough Council has confirmed that Cllr Barry Dodson has resigned from his role as Mayor of Rotherham “for personal reasons”.
Deputy Mayor of Rotherham Cllr Maggi Clark will assume the duties of Mayor.
The issue of electing a new Mayor is expected be discussed at a full council meeting on Wednesday.
