Rotherham market trader (47) on trial for sex attacks against boys

A MARKET trader has gone on trial accused of raping young boys.

Charles Morgan (47), of Midland Road, Rotherham, appeared yesterday at Sheffield Crown Court to face 20 counts including rape, attempted rape, sexual assault and other offences.

He was accused by three men, one woman and two boys, none of whom can be named for legal reasons.

Some of the complainants were allegedly picked up by Morgan at Rotherham markets, the court heard.

The attacks are said to have taken place in his van, at a flat in Rawmarsh and at a caravan in Cleethorpes over a period of 27 years between between 1989 and 2016.

Morgan denies all 20 counts as well as having any sexual interest in men or boys.

The trial continues.
