Rotherham man guilty of teenager rape
A MAN has been found guilty of raping a teenager last October.
Radu Rostas (30) of St Ann’s Road in Rotherham will be sentenced next month.
The trial at Sheffield Crown Court heard how he followed the 16-year-old who had been walking along Broad Street after babysitting a family friend on October 20. He then grabbed her from behind and dragged her to a grassy area where the rape took place.
Following the attack, the girl telephoned the police who searched the surrounding area and arrested Rostas on suspicion of rape. He was charged the following day and remanded into custody.
