Rotherham Hospital patient injured in "incident"
AN INVESTIGATION has been launched after a patient at Rotherham Hosptial suffered serious injuries in an “incident”.
A spokesman for Rotherham NHS Foundation Trust said a man suffered serious injuries at around 6.40pm on Thursday and was transferred to the Northern General Hospital in Sheffield, where he is currently being treated.
She added the trust had launched a detailed investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident but could not give any more details about what happened.
A police spokeswoman said there were no suspicious circumstances surrounding the incident and the 20-year-old man remained in a serious but stable condition is in hospital.
