Rotherham Hospital in running for award

The foundation trust provides several hospital and community based services including physiotherapy, podiatry and orthopaedics.

It has been named a finalist in one of 12 categories at the Care Integration Awards 2013.

The MSK service has been helped by quicker, electronic referrals by Strata Health UK joining together the multidisciplinary teams in the hospital, community and social care.

Trust programme manager Benjamin Chico said: “Strata has underpinned efficient e-referrals between the trust and community services, including local social services.

“Our nursing staff love it. It’s supported earlier discharge, both through the system and also via a dashboard directory of services made available to the hospital wards.”
