Rotherham Hospice’s It’s A Knockout event

CRAZY costumes and giant inflatable obstacles will be on show at Rotherham Hospice’s It’s A Knockout event on Sunday (21).

Teams of ten will be navigating their way through an obstacle course for the charity in a contest based on the TV gameshow.

Hospice staff are entering a Hawaii hula-themed team and others competing include Asda, Morphy Richards, Yorkshire Bank and the Stag pub.

Funeral director Jeremy Neal, who is sponsoring the event and fielding a team, said: “I think this is a great idea for a fund-raiser.

“I can’t wait to join in the fun and I hope plenty of people come along to cheer on all the teams.”

It takes place from noon to 5pm at the Phoenix Sports & Social Club, Brinsworth. Admission is £1 for spectators.

The entertainment will also include a barbecue and refreshments, bouncy castle, raffle, face-painting and stalls.

Hospice fund-raiser Anne Giblin said: “It’s A Knockout will be a great way to celebrate the summer and everyone is welcome to watch, so be sure to make the most of it and join in the fun.”
