Rotherham grocery store blaze 'suspicious'

A BLAZE at a Rotherham grocery store in the early hours of Thursday is believed to be suspicious.

Firefighters from Rotherham and Darnall stations were called to the shop on College Road, Masbrough, shortly after 1.15am.

The ground floor was well alight and the crews faced explosions caused by aerosol cans inside.

They prevented more severe, structural damage.

Flats behind the shop were unaffected by the incident and all occupants were accounted for at the scene.
