Mr Storey said: “Getting the chance to direct for Splinters, a group renowned for helping young talented people show what they can do, is already a dream come true.

“I applied to direct Fame because Splinters is all about giving people the opportunity to showcase themselves.

“The committee not only have faith in my ability to direct this show, but also to use my previous experiences and education to help a very young cast to grow as actors, and show everyone just what they can do and this show is a perfect choice to do just that as it highlights the skills of ours dancers, singers, actors and musicians, so everyone gets the chance to shine.”

Mr Storey first worked with Splinters when the theatre group staged Copacabana in 2006 and followed this up with work on productions of We Will Rock You and Boogie Nights.
