Rotherham Council rescue squad appointed

ROTHERHAM business leader Julie Kenny has been named among four new commissioners sent in by the Government to turn around the town’s under-fire borough council.

The boss of Hellaby-based security products firm Pyronix has been asked to join a troubleshooting team of five led by former Kensington and Chelsea Council chief executive Sir Derek Myers.

They also include children’s commissioner Malcolm Newsam, who has been working at the council since last year.
