Rotherham companies in court over waste law breaches

TWO companies and the directors who run them are due to stand trial after the Environmental Agency charged them with not having the correct environmental permit.

Multi Waste Management Ltd of Hollowgate and company director Andrew Hale (38) of Maltkiln Farm Court, Braithwell, and Keith Connelly (50) of Sheridan Drive, have been charged with contravening the requirements of an environmental permit between September 9, 2013, and October 15, 2013.

Mr Connelly manages a skip company called ABE Skips.

The charges relate to land at Warwick Road, Maltby, where the two separate companies operated from.

The Environmental Agency has claimed there was no permit in place to dump waste on the land.

The men have all pleaded not guilty pleas and are due to stand trial on May 12.
