FIVE men and one woman have been arrested this week as part of the National Crime Agency’s investigation into child sexual exploitation (CSE) in Rotherham.
The men, aged between 30 and 42 from Rotherham and Sheffield, were arrested on suspicion of raping and indecently assaulting two girls under the age of 16 between 2002 and 2003.
The 53-year-old Rotherham woman was arrested on suspicion of allowing her premises to be used for sexual intercourse (involving minors) during the same time period.
Two other individuals – a 39-year-old Rotherham woman and a 34-year-old Sheffield man – were voluntarily interviewed under caution.
A NCA spokeswoman said: “All have been bailed for three weeks as enquiries continue.”
