Robbers force way into Edlington home and attack man with batons

TWO men who forced their way into a man’s home and attacked him with batons are being hunted by police.

The men forced their way into the home of a 64-year-old man on Church Road, Edlington, at around 8.20pm on Friday, September 29. 

They demanded drugs and money before attacking him with batons. 

A South Yorkshire Police spokeswoman said: “Fortunately, the man was not seriously injured and the offenders left empty-handed.”

The first offender was described as white, in his mid 20s to early 30s, 5ft 10 inches tall and was wearing a black padded jacket.

The second offender was also white and was wearing a dark coloured long jacket which covered his head and most of his face.
