"Ram-raid" at newsagents

Pictures show the shutters of Majeed Brothers convenience store on Adwick Road, Mexborough, smashed in.

A 40-year-old woman, who lives near the shop, said she was shocked to see the scene this morning (pictured) and said she was devastated for the hardworking owners

She added: “The owners have renovated the premises recently, so it’s even more upsetting for them.

“It’s a very popular shop that has always been there as long as I can remember.

“They were subjected to another similar incident not long ago, so this is another terrible setback for them.”

South Yorkshire Police has been contacted for more details of the incident.
