They dazzled industry professionals at Sheffield City Hall and have now booked their place in the regional finals.

Rotherham boy Joe said: “We waited for about five hours, it was a bit like X Factor actually,” he said.

“My heroes growing up were people like Pink Floyd’s David Gilmour and our style of music is like punk, but without the anger.

“This was the first audition of any kind we had been to and was quite nerve-wracking.

“In fact, it’s probably easier playing to a thousand people rather then a few.

“We really just assumed that we wouldn’t get through, so when they told us, I just felt like jumping around.”

Joe and Stewart are now preparing for the regional final showcase at Sheffield City Hall on Sunday April 3 at Sheffield City Hall for the chance to perform in London.

The regional final will take place in front of thousands of spectators and judges from Kerrang, NME Radio and Radio 1 and those going through will go on to play at the Live and Unsigned Festival at the O2 in London.

The overall winner will be offered a recording and management contract with Future Music, with an investment of up to £50,000.
