Police worried over missing Steven

POLICE are concerned for a missing man who has not been seen for over a week.

They have issued a CCTV image of Steven Jackson in a bid to find out where he is.

Mr Jackson (50), was last seen in the Wombwell area at around 9am on Sunday, July 16, but CCTV footage shows him 48 hours later in Scotland, on Tuesday, July 18, at 9.35am, leaving Haymarket station in Edinburgh.

This is the last sighting of Mr Jackson and police believe that while he still may be in Scotland, he could be attempting to make his way back to Barnsley as he has connections in the Silkstone, Penistone and Ingbirchworth areas.

Mr Jackson was last seen in Wombwell wearing cream tracksuit bottoms and a blue T-shirt, but was wearing blue bottoms in the CCTV footage.

He does use silver crutches and is known to carry a rucksack with him.

A police spokeswoman said: “Officers are concerned for his health and wellbeing, and would ask anyone who believes they may have seen Steven to please call police.”
