Police wants witnesses to bike crash

POLICE are appealing for witnesses to a traffic collision in which a teenage motorcyclist suffered a broken knee.

The crash happened at around 6pm on Thursday, August 29 at Adwick Road, near to the junction with Arnold Crescent.

A 16-year-old boy from Swinton was riding the Derbi motorbike when it collided with a red Peugeot 207.

The teenager was taken to hospital for treatment — the 24-year-old car driver was not injured.

Anyone with any information is urged to call South Yorkshire Police on 101, quoting incident number 926 August 19.
