Police to film drivers who don't give cyclists enough room

The Safe Pass scheme will see PCSOs filming on the roads and passing on evidence for officers to review.

A spokesman said: “Any motorist found to be driving too closely will be subject to follow-up investigation.”

Insp Craig Clifton said the move followed concerns raised by several cycling groups, adding: “We hope this demonstrates that we do listen.”
