Police seek witnesses to life-threatening Eastwood crash

A 30-year-old woman was in hospital this morning with life-threatening injuries after an accident in Eastwood.

Police said The female pedestrian was crossing the A630 Fitzwilliam Road outside the Territorial Army centre when she was involved in a collision with the front of a blue Peugeot 207, becoming trapped under the vehicle.

The Peugeot was travelling towards Thrybergh when the collision happened just before 8.30pm yesterday, December 17.

The woman suffered head injuries and was receiving treatment at the Northern General Hospital today.

The 51-year-old woman who was driving the Peugeot was unhurt.

Anyone who witnessed the movements of the pedestrian or the car prior to the collision should call South Yorkshire Police on 101 quoting incident number 1074 of December 17.
