Police say only call 999 in emergences
Police are appealing to the public not to ring 999 unless it is a genuine emergency.
Numerous weather related enquiries are being made which are taking up the valuable time of call handlers unable to deal with real emergencies.

Hide AdPeople have been ringing up asking for weather reports, road closures and reporting snowball fights.
"These types of calls could cost us vital time in responding to serious incidents and we would urge the public only to dial 999 in a real emergency or when a crime is being committed," said a police spokesman.
Anyone requiring information about road closures should visit the Rotherham Borough Council website.
