Police appeal after three-year-old injured in collision with car

POLICE are appealing for witnesses to a collision which left a three-year-old boy in hospital with serious injuries.

The incident happened at Tickhill Square in Denaby Main at around 11.30am on Saturday when a grey Nissan X-Trail is reported to have been involved in the collision with the boy.

The child was taken to hospital via air ambulance to be treated for serious injuries.

The road was closed for a short time.

The child remains in hospital, in a serious but stable condition.

If anyone witnessed the incident, they should call South Yorkshire Police on 101 quoting incident number 486 of September 26.
