Wickersley Gala was recently held on a sunny Saturday in Wickersley Park. Enjoying an ice cream are Gary and Tracy Richardson. 171079-6

Hundreds of people attended the event at Wickersley Park on Saturday.

The Dearne Big Band and Singers, the Love Sing Ladies and Blue Crew helped keep the crowds entertained and youngsters also tried their luck on the coconut shy.

Cllr Barbara McNeely said: “The gala was a huge success. Everything went according to plan.”

Visitors were also given the chance to view Wickersley Parish Council’s plans to improve the park.
