CEREMONIES at Rotherham Minster marked the higher education success of 135 graduates from three colleges.

Students on university-level courses at Rotherham College, North Notts College and Dearne Valley College celebrated with family and friends.

A procession of staff and VIPs made its way from the Rotherham town centre campus, led by the Loxley Silver band.

John Connolly, chief executive at RNN Group, which runs the three colleges, told the graduates: “You have gained a range of important and valued skills and qualifications which will contribute, I’m sure, to your own successful careers, and also to the economic and social wellbeing of our communities.”

A reception followed at The Wharncliffe, Rotherham College’s training restaurant.

RNN’s higher education provision will expand in autumn 2018 when the £12 million University Centre Rotherham opens at Doncaster Gate.
