Pensioner robbed in his Mexborough home

A PENSIONER was pushed to the floor and robbed in his Mexborough home.

Police are appealing for help to track down the attacker, who ran off after stealing the 74-year-old’s watch.

A spokeswoman said: "The attack happened at around 5.10pm on Tuesday when a man forced his way into a property on Lorna Road.

"The victim suffered minor injuries and was been left shaken and distressed."

The attacker, who made off towards Kirby Street, is described as white, around 6ft tall, of large and muscular build, with no front teeth and was reportedly wearing a dark hooded top.

Anyone with information on the incident is urged to call South Yorkshire Police on 101, quoting incident number 731 of January 9.
