Pensioner hospitalised after van collision

A 78-YEAR-OLD woman is in a “life-threatening” condition in hospital after colliding with a van.

The crash happened on The Baulk, North Anston at at around 1.35pm on Saturday.

The pensioner was opposite pub The Cutler when a white Ford Transit emerged from Woodsetts Road.

The driver turned right, heading towards Nursery Road, and collided with the woman, who was taken by paramedics to Northern General Hospital.

Police are seeking witnesses to the crash. Anyone with information should call officers on 101 quoting incident number 621 of Saturday, August 2.
