Pensioner accused of sexually abusing schoolgirl is cleared of all charges

A PENSIONER who was accused of sexually abusing a schoolgirl has been cleared of all charges following a trial.

Martin Puddifoot (80), of The Greenways, Leamington Spa, Warwickshire, was cleared at Sheffield Crown Court on Friday by a jury after deliberating for three hours and 26 minutes.

He was accused of six counts of indecent assault and two counts of indecency with a child in Rotherham in the 1990s.
