Overnight closures on M1 and A1(M) motorways near Rotherham

Highways England said the A1(M) will be fully closed on Saturday, September 30 between junction 36 and junction 37 at Marr while repairs are carried out to a bridge.

The closure will be in place from 8pm until 6am.

Commuters also face possible delays on the M1 as works to upgrade it to a “smart motorway” continue.

The northbound exit slip road at junction 34 for Meadowhall and the southbound exit slip road at junction 31 for Aston will be closed overnight on Wednesday, September 27.

The southbound entry road at junction 31 will also be closed overnight on Monday, September 25.

Clearly signed diversions will be in place.
