Chairman Tony Stewart expressed his delight that the Millers’ home had been selected for an international fixture for the first time since April 2016, when it hosted England Women v Belgium Women.

Mr Stewart said: “We have hosted many of these fixtures successfully in the past and we were absolutely thrilled to be contacted by our friends at the FA to ask us to stage another.

“It is once again England v Germany, which I am sure you will all agree promises to be an entertaining encounter at any age level.

“These games have always been well-attended in the past and I am sure that the Rotherham public will again come out in force to support their international side, whilst getting the opportunity to get a first glimpse at the next generation of talent.”
