Noddy rings in Christmas

The switch-on on Wednesday, November 19, is aimed mainly at young families but kids big and small are invited to join in the fun.

The switch-on will take place at the front of the Town Hall from 5pm, with Dearne FM playing Christmas classics to get people in the mood.

Four-piece boy band 404 will also be performing indie rock and Noddy will be helped in switching on the lights by the Mayor of Barnsley, Cllr Tim Shepherd, before a tribute to Disney's Frozen and a fireworks display
