The Outgang Lane site, a major route into Dinnington, will also have signs explaining the area’s historic, social and environmental background.

The improvements are part of planning conditions imposed on housing developers Persimmon Homes, which currently owns the land.

The work will be carried out in April and June and Persimmon will also pay £50,000 for speed humps and a mini-roundabout on nearby Rotherham Road, Laughton Common.
