M-way bridge plunge dad named

A DAD died after plunging from a motorway bridge and being hit by a tanker and van.

Shaun Cocking (44) was struck by a Mercedes Actros travelling south on the M18 in Doncaster.

A yellow Mecedes van also collided with the former Swinton Comprehensive pupil in the carriageway, near Edlington.

Plasterer Mr Cocking twice tried to settle in Australia with nurse wife Lisa and their two daughters.

An inquest has yet to be arranged. Any witnesses to the incident, shortly before 7am on Friday, are urged to call South Yorkshire Police on 01142 20 20 20 quoting incident 179 of June 3.
