MP’s cracking time talking eggs with pupils

MP JOHN Healey chatted about politics, science and eggs during a visit to a primary school.

Wath Victoria Primary School hosted the Wentworth and Dearne MP for a science week visit where he saw experiments from students involved in the Egg Drop project.

The aim was for youngsters to design a contraption that can protect a raw egg from a high fall.

As well as seeing the project in full swing, Mr Healey sat and talked with pupils on the school’s student and sports councils.

“It was great to see the pupils’ ingenuity and enthusiasm in the egg drop experiment, and staff put in a lot of hard work throughout Science Week,” he said.

“The youngsters were also full of ideas when it came to our discussion about democracy and the work of the school councils.

“They’re all a great credit to the school.”
