Motorcyclist dies after Catcliffe crash

A MAN has died after being involved in a crash two weeks ago.

The 22-year-old was riding an orange off-road trial motorbike when it collided with a silver Kia Picanto at the junction of Poplar Way and Sheffield Lane, Catcliffe, at around 4.20pm on Sunday, October 1.

He suffered life-threatening head injuries and was taken to hospital, where he died on Thusday, October 12.

The man’s family have been informed and were being supported by specialist officers, a spokesman said.

The 35-year-old driver of the Picanto and a 12-year-old girl who was a passenger in the car suffered minor injuries. 

The motorcyclist has not yet been named by police.
