Motorcyclist dies after Catcliffe crash

A MAN has died after being involved in a crash two weeks ago.

The 22-year-old was riding an orange off-road trial motorbike when it collided with a silver Kia Picanto at the junction of Poplar Way and Sheffield Lane, Catcliffe, at around 4.20pm on Sunday, October 1.

He suffered life-threatening head injuries and was taken to hospital, where he died on Thusday, October 12.

The man’s family have been informed and were being supported by specialist officers, a spokesman said.

The 35-year-old driver of the Picanto and a 12-year-old girl who was a passenger in the car suffered minor injuries.

The motorcyclist has not yet been named by police.

Anyone with any information should call police on 101, quoting incident number 717 of October 1.
